Random Pricing FAQ
Q. What is an FTP program?
A. FTP stands for file transfer protocol, and it is a tool that allows your personal computer "interact" with your Web host's computer. This is how you move files, webpages, etc. from your computer to the Internet.
Q. I do not have an FTP program, what do I do?
A. You can grab one for free HERE
Q. What if I do not have a PayPal account?

A. Getting a ClickBank account is also fast, easy, and FREE, simply go HERE and sign up today.
Q. What if I do not have a Random Pricing affiliate link?
A. You can make back your purchase price by selling only two copies of the RandomPricing.Com software, so don't delay... Go HERE and sign up.
Q. What if I did not receive my Random Pricing affiliate confirmation email?
A. First of all check your spam, bulk, and junk mail folders. If you still cannot find it, try to sign up again, to ensure you used the proper email address. Finally if that did not work, visit the support desk HERE to contact us.
Q. Is PayPal the only payment processor that this works with?
A. Unfortunately yes at the moment. However, I am already working on version 2 which I plan to add many more including ClickBank.
Q. What do i enter into the "payment button url" box?
A. This is where you should enter the exact location of the image/button file that you want to use as your payment button. It should start with http:// and it should end with the file name and extension.
Q. What is the difference between Random Price Sale and a Fixed Price Sale?
A. A random priced sale is where all of the magic happens when creating an interactive payment button. When you select random price, you actually enter in the low, beginning price and the higher end price. Now everytime your visitor refreshes the page a random price will be displayed and passed to PayPal through this powerful software. The fixed price sale is just a standard static priced sale button, like you are used to seeing.
Q. What if I am doing a fixed price sale, why are there two options for pricing (low and high)?
A. The low price will be ignored when you select the fixed price option, and the actual price displayed will be the amount you enter into the high price box.
Q. What do I put into the Item name field?
A. That is up to you, but remember...what you put in there is passed to PayPal and will be displayed on their checkout page, so make sure you use something that lets the customer know what they are buying.
Q. What about the Item Number field?
A. Like the Name field, this is also passed to PayPal and will show up in your confirmation email, but it is more for your records.
Q. What do I enter into the download url field?
A. If you want PayPal to redirect the customer to their product after the purchase, enter the location of the product directly or the location of the download page. However read the next question for my recommendation.
Q. If I enter the location of my file or download page, wont that leave me open to product thieves?
A. As with any PayPal button, snoopers could possibly locate your product. I fully recommend that you use a product like SmartDD or DigitalGuard to prevent that. Then you can point the Random Pricing software to those applications, that is how I protect my links.
Q. Don't those products cost money? I don't want to buy anything else....
A. There is an absolutely free method that works just as well, but it takes more work on your part and your customers may not get their product instantly.
Q. Ok, please tell me more about this "free" method.
A. Create a simple Website page similar to your site and download page, and use it to tell your customer "Thanks for the purchase" and that you will be emailing them their product shortly, then point the Random Pricing software to that location. Also the "lite" version of SmartDD works perfectly with this product and its just a few dollars, smartdd.org
Q. What is the cancel url field used for and what should I put in there?
A. The Website link that you enter in the cancel url, is where visitors are sent to if they cancel the sale. I recommend that you send them back to the sales page, or possibly to another similar but maybe cheaper product. If you wanted to be creative you could even send them to a survey page asking them why they left without buying.
Q. After clicking the generate code button, my button is not displayed, whats wrong?
A. Nine times out of ten that is the result of the image url being entered wrong. I recommend that you copy the image url from your the field and paste it directly into your browser window. When you go there you should see the image file.
Q. Ok I like the preview of my button after I clicked the generate button, but now what do I do with all that code that popped up?
A. click anywhere in the code box to highlight the code, then right click anywhere over the highlighted code and select "copy" from the right click menu. Now you need to go through your sales page code until you see where you want your button to appear. After you have your curser in the sales page code, right click and select "paste" from the right click menu. What you have just did was move the generated code from the Random Pricing software and placed it into your existing sales page.
Q. My button is not showing up on my sales page, what did I do wrong.
A. If the button is not being displayed, verify that you uploaded the sales page to your webhost after you added the button code to it.
Q. I selected the random price option, and uploaded everything alright, I can see my button but it does not change price when I refresh the browser. What did I do wrong?
A. Verify that you added the additional code to your body tag. When you clicked the generate payment button code link, two windows should have popped up when using the random price option, the first goes where ever you want your payment button to be displayed and the second gives you code that should be added to your existing body tag on your sales page.
